Policy

1. What political party are you affiliated with?
I'm running as a Democrat. I'm proud to have earned the endorsement of the Forward Party. I don't believe either major party has all the answers, and I'm not afraid to disagree with my own. I believe we need more independent thinking, practical solutions, and leaders willing to work together. My responsibility is to the people of Arizona's 9th District, not a political party.

2. Why are you running for Congress?
I'm a veteran looking for another way to serve. I am a working mom who understands the financial pressures families face. I've worked my full-time job throughout this entire campaign because I can't afford not to. Like so many Americans, I have bills to pay and a family to support.

I'm running because I believe hard work should mean something. People should be able to afford a home, raise a family, and retire with dignity. We need more working people in Congress who understand these challenges firsthand and are willing to do something about them.
 
3. What will you do to make life more affordable?
My priorities are lowering housing, healthcare, and childcare costs. I support increasing the supply of affordable starter homes, helping first-time buyers, expanding childcare assistance, and addressing unfair prescription drug pricing practices. We also need better-paying jobs and more opportunities for working families. People shouldn't have to work multiple jobs just to cover basic expenses.

4. What is your position on border security and immigration?
I support securing our border and enforcing immigration laws.  I oppose third-country deportations that violate human rights or due process. We need stronger border security, modernized ports of entry, a more efficient legal immigration system, and policies that recognize the workforce needs of Arizona's economy. We can enforce our laws while treating people with dignity.

5. Do you support the Second Amendment?
Yes. I support the individual right to own firearms. At the same time, gun ownership comes with responsibility. Therefore, I  support universal background checks, reasonable waiting periods, limits on magazine capacity for civilian use, and safe storage requirements to keep firearms out of the hands of children. I believe we can respect constitutional rights while taking practical steps to prevent gun violence.

6. What is your position on abortion?
In 2024, Arizonans voted to protect abortion rights in our state constitution, and I respect that decision. I support reproductive rights and believe medical decisions should be made between patients and their healthcare providers, not the government or our neighbors. These are complicated and deeply personal situations that deserve medical expertise and compassion, not political interference.

7. Do you support Social Security and Medicare?
Absolutely. Americans have paid into these programs throughout their working lives, and we have a responsibility to protect them. I oppose raising the Social Security retirement age or cutting promised benefits. I support exploring changes to the Social Security taxable wage cap and other sustainable funding solutions. We need Congress to address the program's financial challenges before they become an emergency.

8. What is your position on healthcare?
I support a public healthcare option that Americans can choose while keeping private insurance available. People deserve more choices and lower costs. I also support protecting Medicare and Medicaid, lowering prescription drug prices, and addressing practices that drive up healthcare costs, including those involving pharmacy benefit managers. Healthcare should be accessible and affordable, regardless of someone's ZIP code.

9. What would you do for veterans?
As a Navy veteran, I understand how important reliable healthcare and benefits are. I support expanding rural VA services, making dental care more accessible for veterans, improving mental health resources, reducing disability claims backlogs, and allowing eligible veterans to receive care from community providers. Congress also needs to ensure that the funding we approve actually results in shorter wait times and better care.

10. What will you do to protect Arizona's water?
Water security is critical to Arizona's future. I support investing in water infrastructure and augmentation, reducing water loss, expanding recycling and reuse, and protecting Tribal water rights. We also need fair Colorado River agreements that account for the needs of agricultural producers, cities, and rural areas. Water policy should be based on long-term planning, measurable conservation, and shared responsibility across all seven basin states.

11. Do you take money from AIPAC?
No. This campaign is funded by everyday Arizonans and Americans who want practical solutions to the issues affecting our daily lives.
